Poll question

February 21st, 2008 by T.J. Tranchell

Last week, I asked this question:

Has the NIU shooting influenced your position on Idaho State Senate bill 1381, concerning concealed weapons on college campuses?

The results are startling.  As of 5:30 p.m. Thursday, 93 people have voted. Here’s the run down:

44- No, I still support it.

31-  No, I still oppose it.

13- Yes, I now support it.

4- Undecided.

1- Yes, I no longer support it.

The numbers have jumped significantly in the last 24 hours. This could mean one of two things. Either more people are voting or someone is skewing the results in their favor. Maybe someday I’ll have a way to see who voted.

NOLA in the house

February 21st, 2008 by T.J. Tranchell

You may have noticed that Jazz fest began yesterday. If you didn’t, well, you need to leave your house more often.

I went to last night’s concert, “New Orleans in the House presented by Pepsi.”

Check our homepage tomorrow for photos from Wednesday’s and Thursday’s shows.

Check out my post on Reverb, for my thoughts on the show. I could write it all again, but I have class.

Cheers,

T.J.

Welcome back

January 16th, 2008 by T.J. Tranchell

Greetings, Argonaut readers. This is your friendly neighborhood web editor welcoming you to The ArgoBlog version 2008.

I’m very excited to have this blog running again after it took a semester long German vacation. We plan on having a wide variety of content from across the board of Argonaut staffers and even a few of you from the UI community.

If you are interested in blogging here, send me an e-mail at arg_opinion@sub.uidaho.edu.

We want this to be as interactive as possible, so don’t hold back with your comments and criticism. We’re tough, we can take it. After all, we don’t just speak to the students, we speak for the students.

Cheers,

T.J. Tranchell
